A Note from the Editor: We keep most of our stories free, but features like this take time, travel, and honestly, a mountain of emails.

This is a members-first release — written and fact-checked by our Upstate-based editors, with insider tips, local guides, and recommendations for the areas surrounding each Michelin Key hotel.

Full story available to Escape Club members — join to unlock all ten of Upstate’s Michelin Key hotels, plus EB intel on nearby places to eat, drink, and explore.

Michelin Key Hotels in Upstate New York

In 2024 the MICHELIN Guide introduced its hotel-award system — the Michelin Keys — to honor stays that excel in design, service, and sense of place. Across Upstate New York, ten properties have received this distinction, from Adirondack resorts to modern Hudson Valley retreats. (For getaways closer to home, plan a staycation with their NYC list!)

With the latest 2025 batch announced earlier this month, these hotels represent the region’s most refined escapes — places where architecture, landscape, and hospitality come together beautifully.

Check out the full list below, along with guides and trip ideas for each.
