Two New Listings/Open Houses + Severance
Welcome, Spring! Please Enjoy These Two New Listings, Equally.
Happy spring, Escape Club Subscribers!
Not to make anyone too jealous, but as I write this, I’m sitting on my balcony and enjoying my morning coffee, because it is finally warm enough to do so.
As a long-time Upstate New Yorker, I’m all too aware that this is either “Fool’s Spring” or “Spring of Deception.” Despite knowing that temps are likely to drop next week, I’m still so excited about the change in seasons.
Spring isn’t the only thing that has me excited, though: who caught the season finale of Severance?! I know it just aired, but if you're as big of fans as the EB crew, you might have stayed up past midnight to watch, or even paired it with your morning coffee. Since it aired in 2022, we’ve been enjoying every plot twist, witty joke, unexpected character arc, and of course, all of the Upstate filming locations.
(ICYMI, below, our very popular IG post following ‘Woe’s Hollow’ shared some Hudson Valley locations.)
As the show winds down for the season, we're compiling the ultimate Severance location guide for an upcoming Escape Club newsletter. If you’d like to share a location from the show, leave a comment on Substack, or just reply to this email with info. We'll be sending the newsletter out next week! Who knows, it might inspire a few Severance-centered getaways to hold you over until next season…
While next week’s list will come with our usual travel picks, we also want to indulge those of you who have been considering making the permanent move to the Catskills. This week, we featured two stunning new construction real estate listings for you to scope.
Read about them below, and please enjoy each listing equally. 😉
That’s all for this week. If you haven't caught the Severance season finale yet – buckle up, and get watching.
Have a good weekend!

Beechwoods Knoll in Callicoon, NY

Less than 120 miles from NYC, Beechwoods Knoll – crafted by the team at Western Sullivan Properties – brings modern living to a tranquil, countryside setting. This newly built home features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open-concept layout that allows for easy movement between spaces. Oversized windows and large sliding glass doors allow natural light to pour into the home while soaring ceilings create an extra-airy feel.
Additional features include a gourmet kitchen with an eat-in island, a primary bedroom and spa-like suite with a walk-in shower and soaking tub, guest bedrooms with deck access, and a classic Catskills wood-burning stove.

Beechwoods Knoll is located about fifteen minutes from the hamlet of Callicoon, with restaurants, shopping, and the region’s best farmers’ market. While visiting, enjoy fresh hard cider at Seminary Hill, brunch at Black Walnut, wine and tapas at Callicoon Wine Merchant, or a movie at the independent Callicoon Theater. Callicoon is also home to some of our favorite shops in the Catskills, including Spruce Home Goods, The Farmhouse Project, and Callicoon Marketplace; a little outside town, North Branch Cider Mill is a lovely spot to shop and has farm animals from spring through fall. To get outdoors, head to the nearby Lake Superior State Park for hiking, swimming and fishing; kayaks, rowboats, canoes, and paddleboards are available for rent.
For more details, check out the full listing. To see the property in person, head to the open house tomorrow (March 22nd) from 12:00pm–2:00pm at 620 Beechwoods Road, Callicoon, NY 12723. Contact the listing agent, William Baldwin, to RSVP.
The Lakeledge in Kenoza Lake, NY

Fifteen minutes from Beechwoods Knoll, The Lakeledge sits on six acres of wooded land in Kenoza Lake, NY. Tucked into the gated community of Kenoza Lake Estates, The Lakeledge was crafted using the same blueprint as Beechwoods Knoll. But while its interior boasts the same oversized windows, high ceilings, spa-like bathrooms, and sleek kitchen, The Lakeledge’s surroundings set it apart from its twin.
Steps away from the front door, the community’s non-motorized, private lake offers the opportunity for canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and swimming in the summer. After enjoying a day on the water, return to The Lakeledge to take advantage of the home’s fieldstone patio and enjoy an al fresco meal. Finally, end the evening by gathering around the fire pit to unwind beneath the stars.

Located in Kenoza Lake, The Lakeledge is less than five minutes from Kenoza Hall – the boutique hotel that houses the coveted Hemlock Spa. Enjoy a relaxing spa treatment before heading to the restaurant for dinner, followed by a nightcap at the on-site bar. The Lakeledge is also a short drive from the Village of Jeffersonville, where we love Sullivan Sundries and adjoining business Slug Wines and Bloom Coffee to stock up on everything you could possibly need, from your morning coffee and croissant to specialty cheeses and even home goods. For those with kiddos, check out Ratty Books, too.
For more details, check out the full listing. To see the property in person, head to the open house tomorrow (March 22nd) from 12:00pm–2:00pm at 319 Kenoza Trail, Kenoza Lake, NY 12726. Contact the listing agent, William Baldwin, to RSVP.
