Hannah here — half of the Escape Brooklyn editorial team, licensed real estate agent, and the person sending Zillow links in our team group chat at an especially alarming rate. With the season in full swing, I’ve noticed that the line between my holiday wishlist and my Zillow saves is getting a little hard to distinguish.
A couple of weeks ago, we kicked off our new biweekly From the Group Chat series (a little bonus for our paid subscribers) with a ski-house-themed roundup. It was focused, seasonal, and very much a reflection of what we were talking about at the time.
This week’s list is a little less thematic: a carefully preserved mid-century gem outside Philadelphia, a colorful farmhouse in Red Hook, a cozy Kingston bungalow, a converted dairy barn in Accord, and a tiny hunting cabin tucked deep into the Catskills.
There’s no single throughline here beyond good bones, strong atmosphere, and houses with real personality – all of which made it into our group chat.
